Emotionless
High-Quality (128kbps) Download from local site Song Info Genre: Choral Time: 0:23 Description: From the mp3.com description: I hesitate to mention September 11th, because of the strong feelings and singleminded patriotism that is fast becoming associated with it. Still, it is an event that has touched everyone to some extent, both in the united states and abroad. This song is n't a tribute - I won't try to force patriotism on you. No person, no country, is entirely innocent or guilty - by the same token, no one person or country is with or against God. This is, somewhat, a song of sorrow, but it is also a song of emotionl e ssness. It ends upon a single note, a focus - we are here now. The events of September 11th are in the past, but the future has not yet been determined. Take no heed of those, regardless of who they may be, foreign or domestic or govermental, who wou ld try to take away the very principles a civilized nation depends on. Stand up, say your opinions, don't take no for an answer, and remember: "Whether in laurels or in chains, freedom knows nothing but victory." P.S. Yes, that's me singing the low voice sample. In addition to the above, I would like to note that this was the first composition created with a new piece of software, Harmony Assistant from Myriad Software. This is an excellent sequencing and composition program for the mac, with a huge amount of features for a very reasonable price, and I would highly recommend it. As such, though, this piece was a test, but regardless of that, it seemed to come out decent enough - and it definitely fit my mood when I wrote it. |
